Merlot Embargo is a new discovery of mine, but I’ll definitely be checking out more of the duo’s music in the near future!

I felt that latest release Inside My Head was beautiful from the start – the songwriting is amazing and Merlot Embargo have chosen a fantastic chord sequence to use here. It’s actually very haunting, as the gorgeous spidery guitar melodies play along, following the rest of the music. The track breaks down every so often to allow the lovely vocals to truly shine through, creating even more beauty in this piece of music. It’s one of my favourite tracks of the last month, so you really need to check this out!
