The Guardians of Old is a cinematic Celtic composition created by a collaboration between Eric Heitmann, Roxane Genot & Phillean.

The Guardians of Old melds classical and folk music together in a wonderful way, leaning more towards the folk side of things. A gorgeous piano melody trickles through the music, as a selection of beautiful cellos, whistles and pipes carries the rest of the tune. It’s instrumental in nature, but it really doesn’t need any vocals, as it’s simply haunting as it is. The Guardians of Old is extremely evocative. conjuring up fantastical images in the brain as it progresses towards a major crescendo at the end. Check out the video here:
