New York, USA-based producer and songwriter Teenatown first featured on this blog in June this year thanks to her tale of romance My <3. Now she’s back with a new one that calls out the exploitation of social media. It’s called vanity metrics.

I think if we’d all sit back and consider how the Internet works, we’d be disgusted. Teenatown beautifully articulates this feeling in vanity metrics through a soaring soft pop rock arrangement and her characterful vocals. It’s a catchy tune but it’s the deep message of the lyrics that stick with you. They’re full of honest and compelling frustration.
Teenatown has been making music since the age of eighteen when she started experimenting with Garageband. She never stopped experimenting over the years finally arriving at the Teenatown sound we know and love. I definitely get excited when I see she has new music out and I hope you will be too. You can check out vanity metrics below.
