New York, USA-based producer and songwriter teenatown first came to my attention in June this year thanks to her third single release My <3. I quickly followed that up with a share of her track vanity metrics in August, and now she’s back once again. Her latest is an ode to those who survive abuse. It’s called holy victor.
By Graeme Smith
Holy victor was inspired by the real-life financial and emotional exploitation that teenatown experienced in the music industry. She penned this track as a warning to others to not end up in the same situation, and delivers that message through a stripped-back piano arrangement that best showcases her expressive vocals. The track is a team up with Cyanide Sunshine! and the pair work beautifully together. A soaring chorus is a highlight, where nothing is held back.
Her latest is yet more evidence that, with her compelling song writing and catchy compositions, teenatown is one to watch.
You can give holy victor a listen below.
