Discovery: Madame Psychosis

Madame Psychosis are a Toronto, Canada-based rock band who have just hit my radar thanks to a track of theirs that’s actually a few years old but definitely worth a listen. Catchy and singalong, it’s called Kapow.

By Graeme Smith

Kapow has the kind of energy you’d expect from its title. Its heavy riffs hit you straight from the off, urging you to move. They are paired with expressive vocals that carry a strong sense of emotion, meaning the track is lively but with depth. An insanely memorable pop rock number, I only wish I’d discovered it sooner.

Madam Psychosis are a five piece who first came to prominence with the release of their self-titled debut album in 2017. 2019 was a busy year for them in terms of single releases but they haven’t stopped there, releasing Concrete Streets earlier this year.
