Video: Synecdoche Montauk – Forest of Hands

London-based indie folk and experimental pop project Synecdoche Montauk have appeared on this blog a couple of times before now, originally hitting our radar with their single KG before we followed that up with a share of their album Acume last year.

Now they’re back with a new track and video that could be their most personal yet. Forest of Hands reflects on the bullying singer and songwriter Savva Rozanov experienced while at school. Yet, there’s a wider message to the track as well, and it comments on wider conflicts going on in the world. Musically, we are treated to some stripped-back acoustic which best showcases Savva’s delicate yet powerful vocals.

The video, directed by Nick Denisov, was shot at Ouse Valley Viaduct in Sussex. You can give it a watch below.
