Glasgow’s Monday Service cause a ruckus with their debut single

Establishing themselves as something out of the ordinary on the indie scene, Monday Service have been lighting up venues in their native Glasgow.

By Graeme Smith

Monday Service consists of five teenagers – Paddy Mac, Mitchell Maloney, Jax Tennyson, Cormac Flyn and Olivia Keddie. Their debut gig needed a venue upgrade and they followed that up by taking to the stage at the legendary King Tuts. The next chance to see them live will be on 28 June at SWG3.

Now, the rest of the UK (and the world) get a taste of their sound thanks to their debut single Prettiest Eyes. It’s an expansive and dreamy number, with echoing guitars and soulful vocals. A strong sense of emotion seeps out of every note and it’s enhanced beautifully by its sultry chorus.

Prettiest Eyes was produced by Chris Gordon and recorded at his home studio in Hamilton. The track is out now and you can check it out below.
