Simone very much speaks from experience with her lyrics, ruminating on times when she was trapped by doubt and comparing herself to others. Musically, it’s suitably uplifting, starting with a stripped-back pop arrangement that gives plenty of space to Simone’s charismatic vocals. The track builds nicely to its anthemic chorus that will truly lift your heart.
