Discovery: Simon Vior

Simon Vior is a Bocholt, Germany-based artist who likes to combine the visual with the audible to create his work. He’s just hit my radar through his debut single release. Paired with cryptic neon artwork, it’s called Teach Me How to Love.

Having first enrolled in music school at the age of two, Simon is an artist who simple lives and breathes the profession. A background in a symphony orchestra and music production has led him to his unique sound which combines the crowd-pleasing elements of electronic pop with something a little more undefinable.

Teach Me How to Love has an insatiable groove rumbling under passionate vocals and bright electronica. It will have you moving as well as feeling for a dark and brooding three minutes. As a debut, it’s remarkable, and my appetite is certainly whetted for more.
