Lunar Days is a recent release from Anterra, a dark indie folk artist with a sound that combines the classical with the experimental.
By Graeme Smith
Opening with looping acoustic guitar, Lunar Days is a track that builds. Ghostly electronic layers come and go before Anterra’s captivating vocals take centre stage. Ethereal harmonies grow the atmosphere further before the track arrives at a cathartic chorus that’s awash with elements of cosmic psychedelia not heard since Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon. It’s really quite stunning.
Anterra’s debut album These Things Take Time, featuring electric guitar from Peter Stone and production from Cale Hawkins, is set for release next Friday, 12 July. The album was recorded at Rocky Mountain Recorders with engineering from Chris McNaughton and Cale Hawkins.
