Brighton’s Fari returns with a feel good track for the bad times

Fari is a Brighton-based neo-soul artist and multi-instrumentalist who has just released her latest single, Light.

By Graeme Smith

She has appeared on our blog once before. Earlier this year, I ran the rule over her dynamic and introspective single In The Vein.

Her new track, Light, has more of a party atmosphere, though, of course, there’s still plenty of introspection. She describes it as a “feel-good song for a bad time” and that about sums it up. We very quickly get into the track’s groove over which her soulful vocals soar. There’s a rich sense of texture in its composition and its deep lyrics are nicely contrasted by its bright instrumental.

Light was co-written by Fari with Jack Wilson who also did the producing, mixing and mastering. It’s out now and you can check it out below.
