Sabrina G is new to us but she is already being celebrated by the likes of BBC Radio, and has made a number of notable festival appearances including at Brighton’s Great Escape. She also made the Glastonbury Emerging Talent longlist last year. Her introspective new track is called High Hopes (Blue For You).
By Graeme Smith
High Hopes opens in an unconventional way, with experimental electronic textures. Beautifully soulful vocals come in, mulling over thoughts and feelings in the lyrics before we reach an expansive, electric guitar-led chorus. Sabrina G is definitely giving us something new and it’s easy to see why she’s getting so much hype right now.
The track is the first single release from her upcoming EP Hierarchy which is set for release at the end of the year. You can give High Hopes a listen below.
