Every once and a while, a track comes along that’s so strikingly honest in its lyrics that I have to share it. The latest such example is Cashavelly‘s Rewrite.

I’ll never know what it’s like to live as a woman, but through Rewrite, I feel a touch closer. The incredible honesty in Cashavelly’s lyrics had me hanging onto every word, feeling every emotion as I did. A delicate, stripped-back opening sets the scene before things develop into a rich pop arrangement made powerful through chanting vocals harmonies, stirring percussion and, of course, Cashavelly’s compelling vocals.
