She’s just announced the upcoming release of new EP, If I Ask Enough Could You Love Me, along with her latest single, Enough. The new single pushes boundaries, bringing together ghostly, layered vocalisations and hard-edged instrumentals to create a disorientating soundscape that’s full of emotion. Elly’s classical training on display, just as her new music rails against the perfectionism of the genre, and makes a wider point of the struggles to be feminine in a world run by the masculine.
Elly has always impressed me with her music, and her latest is asking all the right questions. Her self-produced EP is set for release 1 December 2024. Enough is out now and you can give it a listen below.
