The latest rock outfit hailing from Leeds to feature on our blog, Coal Mob have come to our attention through their pacy post-punk single, Cowgirl.

Racing out the traps, Cowgirl is a track that gallops along while giving us plenty of loud-quiet variety. Punchy riffs contrast the soulful vocals beautifully in the chorus which proves to be an instant earworm. All the while, poetic lyrics keep the listener gripped, especially during a spoken-word bridge.
It feels like the Leeds scene is blowing up at the moment, and Coal Mob are certainly doing their bit to help. Cowgirl is a sublime anthem. It’s out now and you can give it a listen below.
