In October 2024, Bath-based post-punk act Bureau De Change burst onto our radar through their debut EP, Are You Flirting With Me? Now, we’re pleased to have the chance to showcase some more of their music.

In my review of their EP, I described Flora, Will, Connor, and Louis, the four members of Bureau De Change as “a post-punk project that doesn’t take itself too seriously” while delivering “an important political message.” The same could be said for their new single, Dumb Men.
As the title lets on, the object of the band’s ire for the single is toxic masculinity. It takes the horrible and insensitive words and actions men level at women and throw them back in their face tenfold during a screaming, shouting, no-holds-barred effort that will empower the meekest of us.
