We’ve been featuring the music of Leeds singer songwriter Eden Rain since 2021 with the alt pop artist gracing these pages for numerous releases. Her latest single, Who I’ve Touched, talks of the female experience.
By Graeme Smith
Co-written with Shute (who also produces,) the track draws on female tropes to subvert male expectations. “I’m no more than who I’ve touched,” she declares ironically during a standout chorus. It’s a incredibly well-thought-out single, and its message is delivered powerfully though Eden’s laidback vocals and a textured, electronic instrumental.
Eden is a growing presence on the UK pop scene, and recently opened for English Teacher for BBC Radio 1’s Future Artists show in Halifax. It’s not surprising; her new single is her best effort to date.
Who I’ve Touched is out now and you can give it a listen below.
