A song about slowly drifting apart from someone despite not wanting to, Growing Pains is the latest from York Calling favourite Eden Rain.

Growing Pains is a delicate and vulnerable acoustic pop track that puts plenty of emphasis on its storytelling lyrics. They are, as ever, captivatingly delivered by Eden’s characterful vocals. They speak of heartache and the complications relationships bring. As the track progresses, it builds with cinematic layers, ramping up the emotion during its lingering finish.

We’ve been championing the Leeds-born Eden Rain since 2021 and I can safely say her latest work is her best yet. Her new EP, produced by Iain Berryman, Shute and Steph Marziano, is on its way.
