Encouraging us to find our peace, Out of Office is the latest single from Mending Stars.
By Graeme Smith
Blending together an undercurrent of rock with pop overtones, Out of Office feels like the kind of track which is bang on trend. Expressive vocals deliver relatable lyrics that speak of getting out of the daily grind. A soaring, cathartic chorus lets go of all the stress. It’s a singalong one.
“I wrote ‘Out of Office’ as a reminder that taking care of your peace isn’t selfish — it’s survival,” says Utah, USA-based Mending Stars. “This song is me hitting pause on everything — expectations, noise, even my own burnout. It’s a reminder that it’s okay to stop before you fall apart.”
If you’re a fan of modern trendsetters like Gracie Abrams and Tate McRae, you’ll find a lot to love about Out of Office. The track is out now and you can give it a listen below.
