L’ESPIRAL drop new single, announce UK date

Ahead of their first ever show in the UK, American alternative pop duo L’ESPIRAL are back on our blog with a new single.

By Graeme Smith

The lullaby-esque If I Were A Little Star opens with strings and strummed guitar, showing us a delicate and dreamy side of L’ESPIRAL’s sound. Zoë Bleu’s vocals are soft and bewitching as they deliver bright lyrics full of imagery. There’s a sense of contemplation about it all. The track gradually builds, finally arriving at soul-stirring finish.

“The song captures the moment in a budding love affair when one must expose themselves fully to their partner and ask, will I be cherished or cast aside, worshipped or worn down? The volatile little star flickers between tenderness and fear in a space where a gentle caress can burn, and vulnerability glows warmly just before it combusts,” explain Bleu.

The single release comes ahead of a show at London’s Shacklewell Arms on 11 June 2025, the act’s first appearance in the UK. Their upcoming album, SQUAWK!, is set for release 24 October.
