An account of what it means to be a young adult, Saturn Return is the latest release from Anna Josephine.

Saturn Return is a moody and soulful number that starts stripped-back with ethereal instrumental and vocal layers. Anna Josephine’s voice cut through it all, bringing plenty of emotion with them. They deliver a story of feeling lost in a life where everyone else seems to have it together. As the track progresses, things get bigger and more rousing, eventually giving us a cathartic finish.
“I’m at a place in my life where half of the people my age are getting married, having, kids, buying houses… and the other half are still doing coke in the bathroom on a Wednesday,” says the artist. “A small subsect of people are managing both. It’s hard to know whether I want to keep working harder for my dreams, or just move home with my parents and relax.”
A firm favourite of ours, Anna Josephine’s music has featured several times on our blog before, going back to 2023. Saturn Return may well be her best yet.
