The watermelon has become a symbol of resistance in recent times and that’s what The Zaramutas had in mind when creating their new single.

Watermelon is moody and atmospheric rock that combines a wandering guitar riff with soulful and pleading vocals. The lyrics are rich with poetry in a hypnotic verse before things get dramatic during a heavy chorus. Classic rock meets modern edge in a textured composition that is full of surprises.
It’s the first release from their upcoming full-length album, and delivers a message of resistance and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
“This song is a cry,” the London-based band says. “It started from the need to say something that words alone couldn’t hold. It’s a call for active solidarity, for justice.”
