Discovery: St. Divine delight with catchy, edgy single and video

New to our blog, St. Divine are a New York City, USA-based five-piece rock band fronted by Will Croxton and Judy Ann Nock.

By Graeme Smith

Opening with raw rock edge, call and response vocals characterise the early running of their latest release, Swallow, making it stand out from the crowd. Alongside comes some classic, psychedelic rock that brings to mind the likes of The Velvet Underground and the punk of the ’70s. A catchy pop melody completes the picture of a track that has plenty to unpack.

Its video was filmed and directed on location in Brooklyn and Queens by Maegan Dolan.

Will Croxton and Judy Ann Nock met as the backup singers for Ivan Julian before going on to form St. Devine. Their debut EP titled you can’t go forward and you can’t go back, on which Swallow features, is out now via Reel to Reel Records.

You can give the single a listen below.
