Having recently played alongside Olivia Rodrigo and Last Dinner Party at BST Hyde Park, Ruti has dropped their latest single, Maybe I Got It Wrong.

The track opens stripped-back with an understated groove. Percussive textures interplay with looping guitar and Ruti’s characteristically haunting vocals. It all adds up to a calming, wistful effect. Things get a little punchier during a timeless chorus where Ruti shows off the full range of their voice. It’s a track that will stay with you long after it’s finished.
The champion of The Voice season 7, we’ve been following Ruti’s career since 2019. Racing Cars remains one of the stand out tracks I’ve shared on this blog, and they’ve never disappointed with each new release over the years.
