Sung with heart and rich with cinematic pop elements, The Piece That You Left is something of a tearjerker. Yet, it’s not all ‘woe-is-me’ energy. There’s a bite to the lyrics which are rich with relatable details, and the track ends triumphantly.
“I wanted to explore what it might have looked like from the other side,” Caitty shares. “Sometimes the person who causes the heartbreak also feels like they’ve been left behind, even when they were the one who walked away.”
Based in Margaret River, Australia, Caitty has been lighting up our blog since the end of 2024. Her warm and intimate tales never fail to hit emotionally and have enough variation to keep us coming back for more. The Pieces That You Left is her best work yet.
