The three events you shouldn’t miss this week

Micklegate Run Soapbox Challenge

Micklegate

Sunday 28 August, 8am

Like Bishy Road and Fossgate, Micklegate is on a mission to make itself stand out as a real destination to visit when in York. One thing that does make it distinctive is that it’s the closest thing you get to a hill round these parts, so it’s the ideal location for a soapbox derby. Expect fun, calamities, street food, bands and all-round entertainment.
