The Buffalo Skinners are a Sheffield song-writing collective, influenced by 60’s rock n roll, folk, blues and everything else and have recently released their third album Cease Your Dreaming. They are joined by Holy Moly & The Crackers, a young seven-piece gypsy folk-rock band from Newcastle.

York Barbican
Friday 2 September, 8pm
This Friday, funny comedienne Sarah Millican returns to York to perform a long awaited show at the Barbican. Known for her hilarious jokes and dirty mind, this looks set to be a great night that will make you laugh so much that your sides hurt afterwards!

York Madrigal Singers
St Saviourgate Unitarian Chapel
Saturday 3 September, 7.30pm
Saturday marks Shakespeare’s centenary and the celebrate the incredibly talented York Madrigal Singers will be working their way through a programme of madigrals from his time, as well as some contemporary ones. If you’ve never experienced a madrigal before, it’s a perfect way to start. You even get a free glass on wine on arrival.
