Hull UK City of Culture 2017 presents: The Horrible Histories: The Best of Barmy Britain Live Stage Show on 25th June.
Jump back in time and prepare to embark on a dizzying journey through some of Britain’s most weird, wonderful and wince-inducing moments as The Horrible Histories: The Best of Barmy Britain comes to Zebedee’s Yard in Hull this Summer.
Taking place on Sunday the 25th of June as part of the Hull UK City of Culture celebrations, this live stage show based on the best-selling series of Terry Deary books and hit BBC TV series will be heading to the Yorkshire city to take audiences on a hilarious romp through our country’s most horrid historical happenings.
After enjoying huge successes at the West End and across the UK whilst on tour last year, not to mention being lapped up by audiences in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore – the Best of Barmy Britain show has proved an unmissable hit for all the family the world over.
Can you beat battling Boudicca? What if a Viking moved in next door? Has William Wallace met his match? Would you lose your heart or head to horrible Henry? Can evil Elizabeth entertain England? Will Parliament survive gunpowder Guy? Can King Charles keep his head? Would you stand and deliver to dastardly Dick Turpin? Escape the clutches of Burke and Hare, move to the groove with party Queen Victoria and prepare to do battle in the frightful First World War!
It’s kids theatre with the nasty bits left in!
