Folk band, The High Kings play Leeds Irish Centre on Wednesday 7th June 2017.
The High Kings, the true heirs of Ireland’s Folk Heritage, are the most exciting Irish folk group to come along in years. Comprising Brian Dunphy, Finbarr Clancy, Martin Furey and Darren Holden, they are all Internationally acclaimed singers of Irish folk songs.
A quartet of accomplished musical pedigrees, the band first exploded onto the Irish folk music scene in 2008. They have sold out hundreds of shows, in Ireland, the UK, Germany and the US, made numerous TV appearances and achieved multi-platinum status.
The High Kings showcase their incredible versatility and skills as multi-instrumentalists, playing 13 instruments between the four of them, bringing a rousing acoustic flavour to brand new songs as well as some old favourites.
The High Kings have added several shows to their busy 2015 schedule in November to cope with the demand for tickets for their Sold Out UK Tour in March. The band will be performing songs from their recent CD/DVD release ‘Four Friends Live’ which was recorded in The Millennium Forum in Derry in May 2014, and the show will feature many Irish Folk classics including;
