Lion Papers

York’s favourite lively acoustic pop duo, Lion Papers are returning to Fibbers for their headline show on the 11th August.

Lion Papers consists of two best mates, Curtis and Jimmy. They’ve been playing their upbeat acoustic indie pop tunes for around York and Leeds for almost 3 years now. Bagged support slots with bands such as The Sherlocks, King No One, Prides and Prides. After releasing an EP and a single they have been taking the local scene by storm. And now with a spot on the shortlist for Y Not Festival, who knows what these guys are capable of. Catch these guys when you can, they’ll get your legs moving and your voices singing.

With their line-up being different to other bands you may have seen before, they may just surprise you for the good. Quotes from their audiences include ‘they’re a breath of fresh air’ and ‘they’re something different, I’ve never seen anything like that before, but it works!’.

Their supportive acts are also all from york and include indie rock band The Receivers, alternative rock band Serotones and punk rock band Mice on Mars.
