Black Star Riders

Hard rock band Black Star Riders (BSR) have announced an 11 date U.K. tour titled “Coming Under Heavy Fire” to support their critically acclaimed album Heavy Fire.

Heavy Fire is the third studio album from BSR since their formation in 2012. It was launched to enormous success among the charts; striking out at #1 on the UK Rock and Indie charts, #3 in the UK Vinyl chart, and #6 in the UK National chart, among other top 10 feats reached internationally. The mega-hit album is available now on Nuclear Blast Entertainment.

BSR are bringing all of this talent and success straight to the stage, with front man Ricky Warwick stating “There’s nothing more exciting than playing live. BSR are absolutely thrilled to get back out in the U.K., a wonderful way to round out a great year!” Consequently, the band play for an audience and not just for a recording booth. No doubt fans will have a lot to enjoy here, feeding off new, live music that compliments a venue and a crowd well.

Starting on November 8th, BSR will be embarking on their U.K. tour as a fully fledged headline act. This comes after smashing a sold out European Tour earlier this year, an excellent precedent for a new set of shows. This time, along with BSR come a host of exciting supporting acts; Blues Pills, Tax The Heat and Dirty Thrills. They’ll all be hitting Hull, Middlesbrough and Sheffield respectively on the 12th, 14th and 15th of November.

Dirty Thrills will kick things off in the shows, supporting Heavy Fire with a series of songs from their debut album Heavy Lifting. The London based band won’t be releasing this until September 15th Via the Frontiers Label, however, this set of shows should showcase their talents nicely in preparation for the upcoming release.

Following their work with BSR, Nuclear Blast Entertainment are also giving a leg-up to supporting act Tax The Heat. Ripe from the studio, they have been working on their second offering after their critically acclaimed debut record “Fed To The Lions”. The follow up won’t see release until early 2018, but perhaps these shows might tease all the fun to come.

Swedish rock band Blue Pills look primed to support the socks off of BSR. The multinational quartet were created in 2011 and launched a striking debut album in 2014 and a sophomore set in 2016. Touring is ingrained into their blood and sound, sharing the stage with acts such as Rival Sons, Deep Purple and Kadavar. They have also had the stage to themselves, whacking out headline shows for the masses. Blue Pills are a mesh of sound and style, lobbing in a bit of blues, classic rock and soul for crowds to jam to. Bass guitarist Zack Anderson had great things to say, announcing “We are very pleased that we will be opening for Black Star Riders on their UK tour this November. We are really excited to warm up the stage for these legends. We hope to see a lot of familiar faces in front of stage and are really looking forward to meeting a lot of new people!” A band of the people, Blue Pills will surely get the venues alive and kicking.

Doors will open at 6:15pm across all shows. You can check out the full list of U.K. tour dates below and purchase tickets here!
