Alanna Eileen is a New Zealand based singer-songwriter who will be recording her debut album at Mike Mogis’s Saddle Creek studio complex with acclaimed producer Ben Brodin (Conor Oberst, Simon Joyner) in October 2018.

Those credentials certainly sound impressive for a newcomer, and Almost Gone shows exactly why people should be paying attention to the young singer-songwriter. It’s a slow folk track with a country edge to it, with desert style guitar rumblings mixing well with Eileen’s soft vocals. It’s a pretty track, but it also has a dark edge to it, and we love the way her music is heading.
