Discovery: Inkfields

Dust Bowl is a song taken from Inkfields live set. It’s usually performed solo with a loop station, but on the studio version it contains a few additional sounds sampled from the flat of Inkfields frontman, Samuel James-Griffiths.

By Jane Howkins

It’s a country/americana track, with the guitar creating the feeling of being in a western film. There’s something quite dark and eerie about the multiple guitar riffs, conjuring up thoughts of a lone cowboy being stalked through the desert by unknown forces. As the track carries on, more riffs and effects are added, although it never sounds like too much. We really enjoyed Dust Bowl – hopefully our readers will too – check it out below!
