Dan Sharp is a newly emerging singer-songwriter from New Zealand, with his music fitting somewhere into the genres of blues, folk, rock, and soul.
By Jane Howkins
His music is a little different from that being produced by most singer-songwriters at the moment, harking back to the older days of rock ‘n’ roll and motown, with a lush organ following Sharp’s gorgeous vocals and acoustic guitar lines. Lifeline is a track about now allowing yourself to be brought down by other people, and it’s a good message to bear witness to.
Dan Sharp has what it takes to become big – if only people will let him and give him a lifeline!
