Sisters & Brothers play their collection of alternative country songs live in their hometown of York for the first time. The band draws influence from artists such as Neil Young, Ryan Adams, The Barr Brothers and The War On Drugs to create a warm, guitar driven Americana sound with rich vocal harmonies and unmistakeable Yorkshire roots.
Sisters & Brothers is made up of three quarters of York band The Blueprints, Stuart and Sophie Allan on guitar, vocals and drums, along with bass player Mark Waters. The pop roots of The Blueprints’ sound are evident in choruses and vocal harmonies created by Sisters & Brothers and remain anthemic and unforgettable, with a more nuanced and dynamic feel. The fourth and fifth members of Sisters & Brothers are Wayne Pagan and Dean Wilby. Both Pagan and Wilby are excellent songwriters, guitarists and singers and bring their own alternative country sounds to the forefront of the band’s songs with elements of slide guitar and distinctive vocals.

Zak Ford:
Soul infused melodic folk has been used to describe Zak’s sound. His powerful yet delicate voice marries perfectly with his intricate, smooth guitar playing. With vast musical influences ranging from Soul to Americana, comparisons have been drawn to Glen Hansard, Dallas Green & Ben Howard. Zak’s emotive sound and performance style is truly captivating and not to be missed.

The Bronze:
Lyrically thought-provoking, The Bronze layer vocal harmonies with interwoven guitars around subversive arrangements. Shading light over dark, they find a true meeting of styles, fusing electronic influences and troubadour sensibilities to reveal a sound reminiscent of modern adult contemporary acts such as The Sundays, K’s Choice and The Civil Wars.
