How is 2018 treating you so far?

Incredibly nicely! I’ve been on tour and recorded with the country singer Christie Huff,  recorded my own debut live EP that’s about to be released, met some incredible people, booked my own tour and played more then 50 shows… and still counting!

Have you released any music so far this year? If so, what can you tell us about that?

I recorded some tracks earlier in September in Los Angeles for my debut EP called EDGARD | Live at Bedrock. It’ll be officially released on October 10th and it’ll be available on every streaming platform as well as available for purchase on iTunes and my own website.

Are you working on any new music at the moment? What are you working on, and when will it be released?

On top of my debut EP, I already have plenty of new material in the works! Stay tuned for more music soon!

Have you got any upcoming tours planned? If so, where are you playing and where are you looking forward to going most?

Yes! In October I’m going to do a 3 week tour in Brazil! I’m excited to bring my own show to my hometown of Rio de Janeiro for the first time.

Who/what has influenced you the most as musicians?

Definitely, it was growing up studying and learning from Jimi Hendrix’ style and music! Also, my mother’s exquisite musical taste.

What have you been listening to recently that you can recommend to our readers?

Recently, what has been inspiring me the most is definitely Derek Trucks’ soulful and dynamic playing. Tedeschi Trucks Band is a powerhouse ensemble you must listen to. The Marcus King Band and Artur Menezes are some amazing artists to keep track of as well.

Why do you think people should pick up one of your records or come and see you live, and what can people expect from one of your shows?

I deliver myself entirely into my music. I’ve always had my main goal to be myself and to develop my own sound and voice on my instrument. Also, by having improvisation as one of my greatest joys, I love to capture the energy of the moment and create something unique on the spot! You can expect a journey full of intensity, dynamics and improvisation during my shows!

Any last words for the fans?

Stay true to who you are and reach within! Thanks for tuning in and be sure to check out my work! My debut EP will be available everywhere on October 10th. Follow me on social media to stay tuned with upcoming releases and tour dates!
