King Brothers (Japan), Black Mekon, Bones Shake – The Fulford Arms

The Fulford Arms, Please Please You and Behind The White Door are all joining forces to bring back the insatiable King Brothers!

All the way from Japan, the live show of King Brothers is something you don’t want to miss! The last time they played here, one of the guitar players spent more time crowd surfing than he did on his feet! Their music is an intense sonic assault of trashy garage punk, played with ferocity and flamboyance. This is then cunningly mixed with traditional blues scales, to form their own genre altogether, the aptly named Jet Blues. This show really is something to see with your own eyes. You will have never seen blues played like this before!

In support, we have two bands.

Black Mekon are supporting King Brothers on their tour, so we have the pleasure of having them on this lineup. The band has toured in Japan and has also played at the infamous SXSW festival. They describe their genre as THE Blues and part of their bio reads ‘Not soaring or melodic. We play everywhere. Really short songs. Sexy. A bit old.’

Opening up the event, we have the chaos that is Bones Shake from Manchester. A twisted trio. Trashy, whisky-drenched gospel blues, with added megaphone use. Enough said.

This event will be held on Monday 22nd October from 8pm at The Fulford Arms.
