Perspex, Thee Rag and Bone Man, Eugene Gorgeous – The Fulford Arms

A bit of live music on a Thursday? Yeah man. Do it!

PERSPEX used to be called Tax. The band has made a few waves on the local scene since it’s inception, so we’re going to see what they can do with a headline slot. These guys have a fair bit going on in their sound, from the filth and fury of ’77 punk rock, to the upbeat jingle jangles of modern indie rock. Think Pulp having a fight with The Fall, whilst The Buzzcocks watch and eat popcorn. That’s about that.

Bezzing down from Scotland, we’ve got THEE RAG AND BONE MAN. This gent was called his moniker long before that chunky tattooed idiot got into the charts, so come and see who really owns the title of Thee Rag And Bone Man. This is a one-man-band assault like no other. His feet slam on drum pedals, whilst he hollers into a mic, and batters a guitar to death. Scotland’s finest. Come see!

Opening up, York sweethearts Eugene Gorgeous are back! They’ve been bubbling away with a slightly adjusted lineup for a little while. High energy trash rock is the order of the day here, as the youngest member of the hyper talented Beer family takes centre stage, to work some magic on your ears.
