Vuromantics announce Sheffield date for December

Vuromantics launched in early 2017 and wasted little time hitting the road and flexing their touring muscles. Known affectionately as The Vu, this Sheffield five piece blend pop sensibilities with a passion for electronics and funk groove to create a modern take on some retro ideas.  The band have been consistently bringing their unique brand of pop to most the major cities in the UK by headlining their own small venue DIY tours but also supporting the likes of Shalamar, Alabama 3 and KOLARS. Vuromantics are hotly tipped by the music press with Classic Pop Magazine stating ‘We’ve been hooked’, Louderthanwar observing ‘a charming sophisticated slice of popular fusion’ and local Sheffield tastemakers Exposed Magazine proclaiming their music to contain ‘shimmering synth textures and giant choruses’.

The band’s ‘northern dark pop’ was fully realised on their latest EP, In The Night, which was released on October 20th on Kycker. The bands authenticity for the industry and music they love extends to a grassroots campaign built by the band for their audience – a direct DIY approach.
In 2018 the band released a new single titled Office Romance, which enjoyed backing from BBC Radio Sheffield Introducing, received plenty of magazine coverage and even quickly became the bands most streamed song.

A more meaty follow up record has just been recorded at 2Fly Studios with Alan Smyth (Arctic Monkeys, Reverend & The Makers, International Teachers Of Pop) and is scheduled for a January release.

The band play a hometown show at The Leadmill in Sheffield on December 1st.
