Code of the West is the first track to be released from The Lark & the Loon’s latest album Homestead Hands.
By Jane Howkins
It’s a folk song in a very traditional sense, with a bluegrass and americana feel to it. The main instrumentation of the song comes from banjo, and the vocals are harmonised in a way that makes you feel like you’re sat round a campfire listening to this. It’s very traditional but we like that, as it’s quite a rare sound nowadays.
