Headlined by THE HOWL AND THE HUM! Having played hugely successful, and largely sold out, shows all over the UK in 2018, blown minds at festivals throughout the summer, been playlisted on Radio 1, notched up several MILLION streams on Spotify, and raved about left, right and centre by all who have witnessed them, this band are already on the lips and hearts of all the cool kids, a miserable disco writing Bond themes for films where Jimmy is still hung up on that girl. Combining dark hypnotic pop with post-punk, pierced with lyrics that make you call your mum the next morning.
Well, we’ve banging on about THE BOSSCAINE BIG BAND since dinosaurs roamed the earth and, for the uninitiated, what ‘yer missing is a unique blend of americana, scored heavily with soul, bluegrass, country, folk, punk, blues, rock and roll and more. The musical vehicle of award-winning, permanently gigging, hard living, Sundown Sessions curating, Busk @ Dusk hosting, genre blending, troubadouring Yorkshire cowboy, songwriter, Daniel Lucas.
Playing relentlessly both solo and with various line ups of his incredibly talented musical collective, he has notched up literally thousands of gigs, playing bars, venues, theatres, festivals, house concerts, and more, all over the UK, supporting the likes of Richard Hawley, Willy Mason, Beans On Toast, Guillemots, Justin Townes Earle, Shooter Jennings, Alabama 3, The Undertones, Arlo Guthrie and many, many more.
And another of our favourite bands, …AND THE HANGNAILS, since the beginning when we’ve had ’em on with The Temperance Movement, Jim Jones, Deap Vally, The Fall, Slaves, The Datsuns and The Stranglers. To be fair, they’ve blown most of them away…
The brand new, super exciting, wild as hell TRIANGLE TRIANGLE TRIANGLE mash up country, psych, trashy bluesy folky in a rock and rolly combo fronted by former Hijak Oscar frontman, Tim Fox’s trademark kick ass, genre jumping, rebel rousing racket. These boys could even get a party going in Theresa May’s drawers.
And opening it all up are BELLA, POLLY & THE MAGPIES! Celtic Connections Danny Kyle Award winner Bella Gaffney (guitar & vox) and acclaimed mandolin player Polly Bolton came together last year, fusing Celtic folk with bluegrass in an exciting new collaboration. Joined by Holly Brandon (fiddle), this trio is already establishing a fearsome reputation for their glittering live shows, onstage rapport and genre-busting original and traditional material.
As usual, everybody is giving their services for free – this year it’s for KITCHEN FOR EVERYONE YORK (providing free meals for homeless and breadline families in the York area) and WE SHALL OVERCOME.

AND IT’S ONLY FIVE FLIPPING QUID, A COUPLE MORE ON THE DOOR. WHAT DO YOU WANT!!!
Catch this at Fibbers on Friday 14th December.
