The Zipheads, Pat Butcher, Dead Drummer – The Fulford Arms

3 crazy bands on one crazy night. This is a very strong lineup to give a final kick to the teeth of the January blues. See this on Thursday 31st January at The Fulford Arms!

THE ZIPHEADS come from St Albans and are easily the most rockin’ band to ever come out of there. It’s a real mad mix of psychobilly, melodic punk, metal, jump blues and even a sprinkling of reggae. They are real genre blenders, but do it in a way that makes total sense, and doesn’t lose the listener on the way. They’re super tight, the band have been a force for many years, touring emphatically for a very long time. They’ve had TV appearances, and Ray is even endorsed by Gretsch guitars. Wow-wa-wee-wa. Come and have a boogie with the masters of bop!

PAT BUTCHER are a local band that really need no introduction! The pioneers of the now infamous “carrot in a minute”, Pat Butcher are an enormous part of the York punk scene. Led by the infamous Aaron Brown, the band has taken York by storm, and has now started to breach the city walls and take their energised stage show to other cities. Everything you would want from a punk band is right here. Grit, power, volume, comedy, pace and character, all in large quantities.

DEAD DRUMMER are back on our stage! The thrash-a-billy acoustic duo, from the rotting brains of Kai West and John Holt Roberts. It’s fast, it’s slow, it’s angry, it’s happy. It’s so many different things all boiled into one, served up by two brutally beaten acoustic instruments and howled vocals. It’s something pretty unique and vastly engrossing. Come and have a feed on it.

Opening the event, we have added newcomers CHRONIC JOHNNY. Who knows what to expect from this lot, but come down early and suck it and see! It’s a brand new band from the annals of the Access To Music halls.
