We’ve posted about British-Nigerian experimental artist Tony Njoku before here on York Calling and it’s great to re-introduce him with his new track Hapless.

As I mentioned when I shared Tony’s track Through This Darkness, his voice isn’t one that will immediately appeal. However, the way he engineers sound is remarkable. Hapless is a track that drags you deeper and deeper into it, elements slowly layering on top of your conscience like sediments or, perhaps more aptly, star dust. I’m not sure if hip-hop prog is a genre. If not, Tony has invented it.
At only two minutes Hapless somehow feels like an odyssey. I’m really impressed with what this artist is putting out. Check out Hapless below.
