I’ve been missing the unique style of British Nigerian experimental artist Tony Njoku of late so I was over the moon to see he had new music out. His new track is the spacey and stripped back The Reset.
By Graeme Smith
Compared to some of Tony’s past work, The Reset is a melodic piece. Gentle piano chords dominant the instrumentals and Tony’s vocals are isolated and soulful. Some of his more out there elements creep in as the track progresses though, including vocal distortions and glitchy electronic layers. I love how he brings classical and Avant Garde elements together in this track. He’s not lost his knack for creating something unique.
