Tom will cover areas such as how to get your content to stand out on a tiny budget, making an album for £500, WTF music publishing is, how to get your music on TV, landing a sync deal, and finding the right manager amongst other key subjects he has learned throughout a long and distinguished career as a singer, songwriter and broadcaster.
RICH ORCHARD | DIRECTOR OF UK AND EUROPEAN MARKET DEVELOPMENT | CD BABY –
‘PREPARING YOUR MUSIC FOR A SUCCESSFUL RELEASE’
You can just make your music available or you can make your music connect. With tens of thousands of new releases every day across digital services, you need to plan for success. In this discussion, you’ll hear Rich reveal what they see working – and not working – right now for the music they distribute every day. You’ll walk away knowing how to prepare your next project for a successful launch and how to avoid catastrophic mistakes.
The #360RAW curated panel is in association with CD Baby and Independent Venue Week and is sponsored by CD Baby. The event will be hosted by ALAN RAW of BBC Introducing Humberside who, along with the promoter of the 360 Club Richard Watson, curates the highly successful #360RAW gigs that showcase the best emerging talent in the area. Tom Robinson will be staying for the gig, where he will join Alan Raw in selecting music from emerging acts to play throughout the evening.
Tickets have a refundable reservation charge of £5 per ticket to ensure attendance, which can be returned in cash on entry, or left at the door to be donated to Martin House Children’s Hospice music therapy room for the benefit of young people in their care. The refund is entirely optional and all non-refunded reservation fees will be donated to this great cause. Tickets are available online from Crash Records without booking fee, as they are kindly donating their fees to Martin House Children’s Hospice.
The 360 Club was founded to help the local music scene and musicians and is renowned for its showcase gigs. Industry events such as this are part of the ethos of 360 Club and #360RAW and further events will follow.
