Confidant is a new track from singer-songwriter Babyjake, and it’s a little different to the stuff this reviewer usually shares, so it must be good!

It’s quite a poppy track, with elements of r’n’b and hip-hop present, providing a funky beat that mixes fantastically with the chorus melody and the guitar/bass rhythm that pulls the song along. We’re reminded of the track Where Is My Mind by The Pixies (which isn’t a bad thing) with the melody, but it’s definitely unique enough to stand alone. Check it out below and see if you agree!
