JAMIE LENMAN has announced a full UK acoustic tour, launching in London with three shows at The New Cross Gate on the 1st, 2nd and 5th of November 2020. Yes that is right, an actual tour happening this year in real life. This tour follows on from the 3 sold out Signature Brewery (in East London) shows Jamie did back in September and will be followed up in 2021 with a fully electric tour, as well as appearances at both Download and ArcTanGent Festivals next summer.
All of these live shows will be Tier 1 or 2, COVID compliant (dependent on location), fully seated by household/support bubbles, with pre-bookings only, table service and cashless bar, with hand sanitising points at each venue.
A bit more about the who, where and why from JAMIE LENMAN himself – “I don’t need to remind anyone what a shitty year it’s been, or how many of us are still scrabbling round trying to work out how we can live under these daunting and unstable conditions. I’ve been trying to find some solutions regarding how to keep myself and the creative industry going and I’m sad to say that, six months in with little to no help from the powers that be, I’m still no closer.”
“So in the absence of any definite plan, I’m going to do some shows, wherever will have me and wherever is safe. If we can adhere to the local guidelines and still get enough people in to make it work, I’ll bring my guitar and sing some songs. Everything is so fluid at the moment that some of them might get cancelled, some of them might pop up at short notice, and we’ll all just have to go with the flow.”
“These events will be as safe as possible – distanced family bubbles, masks in and out, cashless table service, sanitiser galore. Everyone gotta make their own call on this, and you don’t have to come if you feel uneasy, but I’m seriously hoping we can have some actual fun somehow.”
JAMIE LENMAN has also today released a video for his very special, acoustic version of recent single The Summer Of Discontent to celebrate the tour announcement. The track is taken from the physical versions of his most recent, hugely acclaimed mini album The King Of Clubs – where by all fans that bought a copy of said mini album, received it as an acoustic album as well, for free! These acoustic versions are not on DSP’s and only available through physical purchases of the record. Jamie Lenman will perform at The Parish in Huddersfield on December 7th 2020.
