Amended Timings for Private Prayer and Services at York Minster

York Minster have announced amended timings for services and private prayer in line with the Government’s new measures to control the pandemic. The cathedral will remain open for public worship and for private prayer. However, the building will be closed for sightseeing until further notice.
 
The new timings for services and public prayer up to and including Sunday 10th January are as follows:

Monday 4th January
07:30 – Morning Prayer
07:50 – Holy Communion
15:00 – Private Prayer
17:30 – Evening Prayer
 
Tuesday 5th January
07:30 – Morning Prayer
07:50 – Holy Communion
Closed for private prayer (due to Consecration)
17:30 – Evening Prayer
 
Wednesday 6th January
07:30 – Morning Prayer
07:50 – Holy Communion
12:00 – Midday Communion                                                                       
15:00 – Private Prayer
16:00 – Evening Prayer
17:30 – Epiphany Eucharist
 
Thursday 7th January
07:30 – Morning Prayer
07:50 – Holy Communion
15:00 – Private Prayer
17:30 – Evening Prayer
 
Friday 8th January

The Minster Shop will be closed from today until further notice.  Dean’s Park will continue to open daily from 10am until 4pm. People using the park will be required to adhere to Government guidance on social distancing.
