Biffy Clyro have today been nominated for Best British Group at the BRIT Awards, which will be held on May 11th and broadcast live on ITV. The nomination recognises the success of the band’s latest album A Celebrations of Endings, which became their third consecutive #1. It’s the third time Biffy Clyro have been nominated in the category, after 2011 and 2017.
The band commented, “We are over the moon to be receiving our third Brit nomination. It’s an honour to be nominated among so many great artists and bands, especially during such a tough time for everyone. Thank you to everyone who voted for us. We hope to see you all very soon. Mon The Fucking Biff!”
The BRIT nomination follows the news that their huge Glasgow headline show has been rescheduled to Glasgow Green on September 9th. Tickets for the original show remain valid for this rearranged date, while remaining tickets are currently available here.
Biffy’s intimate Fingers Crossed tour has also been rescheduled to commence in late October and is entirely sold-out. Meanwhile, the band’s 2022 summer festival schedule is taking shape with the news that they’ll headline the Sunday night at Download.
The band will perform at the 02 Academy in Sheffield on October 31st 2021.
