Liverpool legends CAST have announced a headliner show at the Picturedrome in Holmfirth. The gig will take place on the 26th of August, and feature support from rising stars SHAMBOLICS. Originally formed in 1992 from the ashes of two of the most legendary and lauded guitar bands of all time, The La’s and Shack, CAST are known as one of Liverpool’s most legendary acts. Labelled The Who of the 90’s, Noel Gallagher once described watching Cast play live as “a religious experience.” The band’s career has been one for the history books- releasing a string of chart-topping albums, working with producers such as John Leckie (Stone Roses, Radiohead, The Fall), and constantly developing their iconic Brit-pop sound. But even after all this success, the group are still looking to the future, setting out on a string of live dates across the UK this summer, as well as their ‘All Change’ 25th Anniversary Tour.
One of these dates will see the group head to Holmfirth, to play the beloved Picturedrome venue on the 26th August 2021. Playing an array of old favourites and new releases, the group will bring over 20 years of experience to the stage, wowing audiences with unmatchable talent, and exhilarating energy. The night will also feature support from Shambolics, who have been coined as ‘one of the great Scottish bands’ by industry legend Alan McGee. Head down if you want to experience UK rock at it’s very best.
